Providence Portraits is a new body of work that I will be posting here, formerly known as Seen/Unseen. It looks at the city of Providence, Rhode Island, through photographic portraiture of its residents. It attempts to understand something of the people who live in the city, while also investigating the process of photographing strangers. This work, through pictures and words, is ongoing. It has been generously supported by the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
