In conjunction with the publication of “Seeing Silicon Valley: Life Inside a Fraying America,” University of Chicago Press, Meehan has exhibited the portfolio and taught workshops at Stanford and Brown Universities, in the United States, and at the Indraprastha Institute of Technology in Delhi, India. Her exhibitions and installations are combined with presentations, workshops, and interdisciplinary engagements with students. At Brown she served as the Fitt Artist in Residence at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, and launched “Seeing Silicon Valley,” a public art and print exhibition on display for two academic years. At IIIT Delhi she spoke at the Digital Delhi Conclave under the theme “Justice For All.” At Stanford, her installation at the Hobach Hall Library has challenged students aspiring to become the new leaders of Silicon Valley to engage with the realities of the ordinary people who live and work there.

Watch Meehan’s discussion at Brown with collaborator Fred Turner in “The Real Silicon Valley: Why It Matters to See Beyond the Myth.”
