MARY BETH MEEHAN is a photographer, writer, and educator who uses words and pictures to create in-depth portraits of individuals and communities.
Her work looks deeply into how ordinary people find meaning, how they create connection with one another, and how lives are transformed every day by such world-scale forces as globalization, immigration, and the economy.

2010 Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant
Mary Beth, in collaboration with the Brockton Cultural Council, will develop her photographic portrait of the city, and will present a public event in September, 2010, entitled "Reimagining Brockton."
2010 Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Grant
for Mary Beth's work with students at the International Charter School entitled "Documenting Culture."
